Approach
I love finding ways to build on connections and projects that have happened before. Having worked with Dr Anna Maguire from UCL’s History department on the Voices of East Bank project, I’m excited to continue our collaboration. Building on the work of history projects and campaigning at Creating Ground, we are now running a project to support Stronger Together Leaders to reflect on their campaign journey so far.
What is special about this project?
Using historical case studies of migrant rights’ campaigning in London, Understanding Policy Making connects history to present day social change. We are thinking about how history can be used for action, connecting the project to the existing work of Citizens UK and Creating Ground.
The project at a glance
- A specialised training course for migrant women Stronger Together Leaders at Creating Ground, who have already completed a programme of Leadership training at the organisation.
- A new collaboration with UCL and Creating Ground.
- We will use case studies to understand different types of policy making, providing inspiration and tools to take away and develop in their own campaigning work.
