I provided campaign and communications support for the Together With Refugees coalition during their evaluation period. I gained a detailed understanding of the Refugee Sector among the British Red Cross, Refugee Action, Refugee Council, One Strong Voice and over 450+ grassroots organisations across the UK campaigning for refugee justice.

Approach

Together With Refugees was created as a coalition to support organisations that are working to change the UK’s asylum system. As a campaigns consultant, I joined the team during their evaluation period after the government passed the Nationality and Borders Bill in 2022.

What was special about this project?

Managing a coalition with a membership of over 450 organisations was a task involving rigorous data management, coordination and systematising. Meeting so many organisation members across the evaluation period gave me a detailed understanding of the vast number of organisations across the UK that are working so hard to support migrants and refugees.
